Caldito y Cuchara is a deeply personal tribute to my mother—an expression of her love for cooking, her pride in Salvadoran culture, and the dream she may have carried of one day opening her own restaurant. After her passing in August 2024, I felt called to honor her memory by redesigning Cuzcatlan Restaurant, which I first developed in 2019. This new chapter carries her spirit forward in every dish and every detail.

Inspired by the letter 'C' from the original 2019 Cuzcatlan menu and the image of my mother’s cherished cooking pot, I began exploring the meaning and visual potential of this letter. That journey led to the creation of the mark for Caldito y Cuchara—a symbol born from memory, heritage, and love.

Driven by an interest in color, I explored various combinations, focusing on contrasts that are more uncommon in restaurant settings.
